Essential Publishing is a specialist publisher. Established in 1995, based in Colchester with a staff of over 80 that includes editors, writers, designers, advertising, marketing, subscription and internet and reprographic specialists.

In April 2006 Essential Publishing became part of Hubert Burda Media Group. HBM has in excess of 252 titles in 19 countries.
